It was cool enough with the Rocket in it. Now it's cool and fast! Great job. What did you do with the Olds? What trans did it have?

Herm Peterson. That is a name I have not heard for many years. Neat he is still putting together motors.

  12. Great find. That's going to be one cool hot rod. Going with the hemi is cool. Here's my Olds powered 34'. Single 800 Holley for now. Maybe go with two fours over the winter. IMG_1873.JPG ve had if you stuck with the Olds:

I LOVE your '34! What an amazing find.. The magnesium wheels are perfection. That patina is gorgeous. Can't wait to see more!

I'd like to have that Olds engine & the trans, those fiberglass bucket seats, that dropped axle, that dash & what ever else you pitched, to build into a '60's hot rod.

My big debate right now. Keep the turbo 400 idea or put in a 4 speed

You know better to ask this crowd, best make that decision without influence. I'd keep the T-400 Hydro.... but I'll bet ya a dozen donuts the crowd is going to try and push you to rowing a shifter and clutch.

I’ve read several times on this site “real hot rods have manual transmissions”

If you plan to drag it, manual. If you want to cruise it, auto.

  30. Man that car was really neat as it was

If you're going to pull the old chrome garnish moldings I would be interested in buying them or trading for non chromed ones
