ON this 32 ford I'm finishing the owner routed braided line thru the boxed front frame rail as the rh exhaust pipe is 1" away from rail...too close to run a steel fuel line past. I don't like the braided line idea and probably can make a steel gas line and get it inside the frame rail. To protect the steel line inside what do you folks recommend , heater hose, some kind of shield? couldn't find a thread on it.
The hose wrap is a good idea. I have it all over my hotrod where needed and it is used on commercial vehicles as well. Just remember you don't want anything rubbing on anything..........
I used neoprene fuel split the entire length and tie wraps to keep the metal line from rubbing against any metal on the inside of the frame. HRP
I did this to run lines through the crossmember, but the idea can be modified for inside a frame rail. Weld tabs on the inside the rail with the hole id for a grommet bore. Supports and isolates at the same time.
Is it stainless steel braid -AN hose thru the framerail? Leave it, it is in a stainless steel casing. Can't get much better than that.
He's not going thru a thickness of metal, He's Running up a boxed frame, if you will within a tube, without access to mount the line.
