Greg Grudem was my HS shop teacher, I rode in this car, had a nailhead in it and the metalwork was really nicely done although the front end styling was "unique". He referred to it as "the Fish" and I think it's in New York now, driving around in bare metal.

  2. RudeStude, Okie Pete was being facetious. Mike Shea's shoebox out of Ark City, built by Jeff Myers.
This one was also done by Jeff:

As Mick says "I know Jeff Myers".

I remember when Jeff built this one . The work that what in to forming the nose so the grill would fit and look right was tedious. [IMG]

That seems to happen to cars that competed in the show car circuits..to stay competitive from year to year you had to go with the latest trends or gimmicks to win in your class and some cars just started..well they started going sometimes in a wrong direction and most once they got out their... you get to a point of no return and then they get parked , scrapped, picked a part for other projects or just plain go away ...but for some they become Kool again and they make their way back into the scene for a new generation to admire or say what the hell where the thinking back then......

I still have them..here is some of them... one year at the end of the world run in Washington state I made the event in a old beater Cadillac limo that I took last minute because the car I was going to drive had a last minute problem ..that bummed me a bit so got a friend of mine to drive and a couple of other friends and myself and a couple of jug's of refreshments climbed in the back of the Cad ...off to the beach....and that's the year my car made the magazine...and it was the beater and not the good one...still had fun...

  25. Lots of neat little details going on here. The Packard sore thumbs sure look good!

  26. The Draggin shop built some really cool cars. They were knocking it out of the park for quite a few years.

Love me some pink customs. Kim's Lincoln is gorgeous.
