Looking for some info on how/what was can be used to install and press on these bushings.

I cant seem to find any info on how to install, maybe I'm calling them by the wrong name.

    Thanks [IMG][IMG]

Push the worn parts out with a pair of sockets. The new parts snap in ...

  3. I have removed the metal out of the rubber first and then installed them, putting the center in afterwards.

I have done that with a small ball peen as the swage tool to spread the brass out. Those look high quality and the brass looks thicker than the ones I did. I bet you could rig up a ball bearing of the right size and squeeze it in a vise to roll over the end of the tube.

Thats the only thing i could think of was the ball peen idea. I have to look for a smaller hammer, cause the one i have is too large.

Here is an idea, I use this to installed the air vents on drum shells. You can hit up your local hardware store and get a tapered bolt and nut and just tighten it down. The vents I use are lighter gage so you would need a bolt with tighter threads to help prevent stripping. Just an idea. [IMG]

Got all the bushings changed. I used a combination of the flat head screw and ball peen hammer. I don't like the way they tore when folded, but I'll chalk it up to installer error ot the Taiwanees quality brass.

I did mine the same way about 10 years ago. Trust me, they'll work fine and nobody will ever see them.
