    Did somebody say "caption needed".

"I can't believe what this guy just asked my mother to do".

Based on the shape of the vertical tail, the single tire rear landing gear I think it might be a Boeing Stratocruiser double decker commercial airliner that was a post war development of the B29 Stratofortress. Some still flying as Super Guppy specialized freight haulers.

That looks like the Guns of Navarone.

  10. NOT the Spruce Goose, YB-60 is close, it's the gigantic cargo version of the B-36 Peacemaker.Quite a sight, quite an airplane! Our family went to the Portland Airport regularly, as did thousands of people. It had a huge deck just for gawking.Flying was still amazing in those days.

All production versions of the B36 and variants had multiple wheel rear landing gear
Pretty sure that's the Boing Factory on Everette bay Washington.

    Thanks LB
Was curious to read the text, the name Don Ringer came up often in the early 70's around the drag racers I hung with, never met him, thought it might be a good read.
