    # 4 must be the lucky number????
I've been to two of them, still have pix of one off of Todd in Santa Rosa.
Great stuff built there!!!!! I'm sure that this will be no different, We used to go to lunch in a pretty kool Tudor.
It bore a nice resemblance to Ryan's coupe.
Good luck guys!!!!!! This Tub is gonna rock!!!!

The light blue 32 chassis belongs to Rudy, the shop manager. There is a primed, chopped 31 coupe waiting for it that's just outside the pic. Got to see it in person today and it's really nice.

Can't wait to see the finished build. I saw the body and frame when I was at the shop checking out the 32 5 window build Keith and his team is doing for me. My wife loved the 29 when she saw the body off frame and I know she will be excited to see it again.

  9. I will never understand why Neanderthals like myself are so drawn to the touring cars, they were not designed for 6'4" tall, crippled up old farts like me,having recently found a good deal on a 28 I had to pass. HRP

Can we get a before visual of the body? Love seeing the before and after of patina like that being saved...

I'm a dumb ass and didn't take any.

  13. @Keith (& @Ryan) -

    Cool build!

It's good to see the body sitting on the chassis:

I have always liked tubs for hot rods. I suspect it may get a full set of fenders.

  15. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty damn sure there is a picture of the phaeton from when you first brought it back. Either rolling it into your shop, or to a storage locker before it went back to your place.
I've searched, and can't find the photo anywhere, but I'm almost positive I saw a picture of it all together, full rendered and RHD...

Here's a quick update... Anyone know anything about this hood? Keith found it on eBay... and it's incredible.

Very cool and interesting. Seems like a number open '28 cars got this color combo. My '28 (April I think) roaster is also Washington Blue with black fenders and aprons. It also has the original paint so I know it's right.

I passed on a 29 Phaeton from Uruguay with suspicious heavy peeling bondo for $6000.00. Now I'm kicking myself...

The hood is Kool and would change the build . Maybe it should be held back for another project like a Rodeo Clown car ?

A car can have more than one hood, or sometimes no hood.

My interest is piqued!!!! I’ve been in Keith’s A Builds, Always the best!!!!
The body, E78A8331-218B-4DC6-893A-13EF1508C9A5.png when it was up above in storage looks like one that I had advertised as a whole driver for my Bro Bob In 07, it sold to Sam Strube, then eventually Tim in Aptos got the body and build a very cool banger Tub that went on our PRC- RR. 5B9C9FF7-6AFA-4FBC-BFA2-6C420170498E.png Just wondering if this is it reborn once again???

Yep, if Hood is a respray, save Goofy hood for something else, even if it's a wall-hanger, hood is cool, entire car, even cooler

I wonder what happened to the rest of the car that hood came from.

Hey, I'm a 5'4" short, hobbling old fart who would like to have a line on this project if it is not already sold. If still available, please call me at 210-414-4831 anytime. I'm retired so I don't sleep. Thanks, Danny. Gary

  28. Been to work and back in my tub today - still love it even now on the cusp of an English winter. Although my kids will say when it comes to sitting out back it's never Tourer weather...

Got a question. Can you maintain the Ackermann on stock spindles when the arms are bent to fit a dropped axle? Does it matter?

I was eyeballing that body when I paid the shop a visit back in August before moving up to Fort Worth. I'm glad to see he pulled it down and is putting it together.
