  2. Man do I remember going to Kansas from Oregon in 1964! 1963 Pontiac Catalina wagon.
    Yellowstone, Dinosaur National Monument, AM radio stations drifting in and out, Mexican radio, strange towns, deserts, plains, heat, motels with pools and COLOR TV.....it was amazing.
    Too bad kids today will never experience what we did!

    On the right is CBS television's Studio 50. If this was shot on Sunday they're inside putting together the acts for the Ed Sullivan Show which went live to air that evening. This venue would later become the Ed Sullivan Theater and be the home of the David Letterman Show.

    I've water ski'd in irrigation ditches behind a truck, but I've never ski'd down main street...woohoo
