Thanks stanlow! That's exactly what I was hoping to see, and two different angles no less! Looks like the entire beltline molding was filled. Wow.

  4. Have had NO luck in looking for the El Matador inspired coupe.

I very vaguely remember a photo I've seen somewhere (magazine maybe?) of that car (at least I think it was) in red oxide primer......

I thought I had seen that T-Bird before...it was in a 1960 Rodding&Restyling story covering the First Annual Disneyland Show
The following pictures are of the complete story ....[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I may be mistaken, but I don't think there was a SECOND annual car show at Disneyland. If I recall, the first didn't attract their kind of crowd. There sure were some notably historical vehicles there!

Probably not....in them days the mixing of Hot Rod "Hoodlum's", as the general public saw them to be , and a "Family Fun Center", a spot for the "Proper" image of family gathers, was usually not considered a good thing......

  10. It was at Indy this year. Totally cool truck. The details, especially the upholstery were over the top. I follow him on Instagram. mikeybrown1957. He’s an upholster.

Dean Jeffries built it ... actually he built two cars the TV car ended up in Puerto Rico then auctioned in 1992 and the second car Barris bought and restored it and was auctioned in 2006 or 08 ? Now in a private collection... Barris ,his company, has built some replicas threw the years also Dick Dean built one also...

Caught this "shoe box" in I believe 2014 or 15 at the Puyallup Washington Goodguys. Quite possibly the nicest one I have ever seen, at least around these parts.

Love this pic. It's one of the reasons that we have the Starliner show at the Kansas Aviation Museum in Wichita.
