My money is on Japan or Dubai as its final resting place, locked away.

If Japan then at least it’s safe to assume that it’ll stay as is. From where I’m at, ut makes no difference where in the world it’ll be. But I just hate to think that someone tears it apart to make it flawless...

Now if all us on the Hamb could contribute a few bucks to buy it at auction maybe we could guarantee it never gets changed...just a thought

@Gamlebilrokker...with your dedication to this revered Hotrod after we've bought it collectively the sea would part to allow you to cruise back to Denmark with it...:p

Great thread and I hope Ed sees it...;)

  8. I can't believe Ed parted with it. He sure doesn't need the money. I figured he'd die with it, then his sons would keep it as a memorial to their dad. How the hell did Carini wind up with it?

Yea, that’s what I am puzzled about too. What I don’t get, I was thinking he’ll auction it off for charity or something like that. Never thought someone else will sell it for profit...

It belongs in a museum so folks can see it, not put away in a collection / purchased as an investment. IMHO, anyway. Gary

  14. To put an end to all of this "Internet speculation", Ed still owns the car:

    Isky T @ 2017 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance - Placard.JPG

My guess (i.e., speculation :D) is that Isky has decided to auction it off (next year) ... and either he or the auction house hired Wayne Carini to promote this “piece of Hot Rodding history” at several shows around the country.

Wow, I always thought Wayne seemed like a nice guy......actually a car salesman, but in spite of that, a nice guy! I really enjoy his show.

In post #1 the pic with the camping bed roll on the back shows the generator in about the stock flathead location. I would guess now it runs on the mag, so battery is only needed to start it. I doubt it has been driven in far in the dark for a few decades.

Looking back at several of those images I see a generator and it was removed for a transition to more race related duty.

    Thanks Olds

Lots of personality in that little car. But then with Isky as the builder, how could it not? Great thread.

Great thread, this car was definitely an inspiration for my own T roadster.

I had read somewhere that the car was offered to Ed for $25, or $20 without the turtle deck, so Ed paid $20 for it and bought another turtle deck from a junkyard for $2. Not sure where I heard that or if it's true, but it stuck in my mind.

With Ed and his 2 sons running the business it makes no sense that anyone other than the family will ever own it no matter who is showing it.

I bet Vic Jr. would have said no to them thinking of selling it!
