This shot of my mate Jim in "Hard Goa" is from his New Zealand tour. The car was built by Ian Splatt's Dragway Engineering in Jim's home state of Victoria, Australia. Incidentally Jim is currently in the US and will be crewing on fellow Aussies Peter and Helen Russo's fuel funny car at the last two NHRA events of the season ( Las Vegas and Pomona).

This may be an early version of Stan Lucas' Scrounger. Rod Hynes drove a later version with an M & S built chassis.

  27. The summer of 2001, 18 years old, and running an altered in northern Iowa. That was a great time!

Lots of good stuff being posted by members but we have to remember to keep them before 1965 so the thread doesn't get closed :)

  30. My bad, and I knew better too.

I am looking for photos of altereds that had, what seems to be, a pretty rare Dragmaster Altered Roadster chassis. So far, the last "Otie's Automotive" altered is the only one I have positively identified as a Dragmaster. Otie's T was from the 1962 time frame. The photo from the Dragmaster catalog was around 1961, I believe.
