    Hey S,
Your buddy, Ed has a nice panel delivery project. Since it has the drip rails, you (he) can mount some nice clip-on racks for the top. But, those racks do have weight limitations.

In 1961, our 40 Ford Sedan Delivery did not come with drip rails, maybe to make it different than the panel delivery...So those longboards had to stick out of the rear window that was removed.

We tried using some racks on the front drip rails, but the heavy 10 ft. long boards were too wishy-washy in the rear, despite our best tie down efforts.

This looks awfully close to what Alex Jarel bought to re-create Yoo Hoo Too. It had stock wheels and dog dish hubcaps however, and I don't think it had that kind of powertrain. Nice car you had just the same. Today, it would have probably paid for the first year of medical school. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

  18. My panel, from back in the 70's; Olds 394 and early Hydro. It was my daily driver for several years... 50 panel.jpg
I guess it was what you would call a "sleeper".

  20. I looked over your panel at the fall Firebird Swap Meet and talked to Mike Hering about it. Very nice in deed!

It's the one in my avatar. I plan on making some real progress on it this winter.
