I like new look, but would like to see it with the old wheels/tires with fenders to see what that looks like also

On that car I am liking the fenders and steelies better than no fenders and that wheel tire combo. It looks cool as a highboy until you see it roll out with the fenders on it.

    Yep-fenders win.

  11. You can't run that stance and a stock roof without fenders.

The first pic looks like a car that is in the shop, not completed and fenders removed. Yes the second pic with fenders undid the first pic and looks way better with its fenders back on.

Looks great with the fenders.....gives it an attitude.
Sits too level as a highboy.....needs a rake to give it an attitude.

A guy has to run a big ass rear tire on a Highboy to make it look right. Your car would have looked great with a taller tire and a stance change. I like the fenders though.

I think it was the wheels and tires that made it look lame. But the fenders look good.

It is a beautiful car no matter what. I also agree that a 3 window deuce "unchopped" looks best with fenders, and that comes from a guy that really doesn't car for that Stock look. With the fenders and the wheel change it does look like a really nice stocker. I am obviously in the minority with those thoughts.

Without a chopped top, I like the "Jalopy Derby" look of no fenders....it what makes us all different.

The original tires and wheels were all wrong for a car without fenders.
Changing the wheels and adding the fenders has improved the car, but I'd still like to see it with the wheel change and no fenders before I'd decide which way looked the best.

I come from the old jalopy dirt track racing days, loose the fenders, put the big tires on it, and paint a number on it, then I will get excited. That ought to stir the pot! Gene

    Interesting...

looks to me like it went from being a hot rod, to an old man's car. Which is fine, if you're an old man.

sorry, didn't mean to be unkind.

The neat thing about a 32 is how nice it looks as a stocker

^^^^^ Ditto, what they all said. Fenders refine the look and the new rims and tyres fill up the wheel wells so nicely by comparison to those 5 spokes. Nothing wrong with stock height and fenders IMHO.

I always kinda thought that if a car was running the hood, and hood sides that it looked better with fenders... but if it wasn't running them it looked better without the fenders..
