No pics, my pics got thrown out by my a..hole brother. My old man put a Pontiac straight 8 in a model A when I was a kid. Had to stretch the frame 6 inches and change the back 2 plugs from under the dash.

I hot rodded a couple 300s. You can make them run pretty good compared to a stock one but for just novelty. Once juiced up, the fuel consumption was horrible just to have the performance of a stock mid sized V8. And they will never not sound like crap compared to a V8

  3. This car has already post without the turtle deck-

  9. @Gofannon Where did you get that track nose? Can you get them here in NZ easily?

I want a roadster with one on those on it one day…

Bought it years age off TardMe. They must've been made by a local fibreglass guy at some point. It's very small, made for a Midget. I cut it down the middle so I could spread it out for mock up, then used it as a buck for an aluminium one. My ali one is roughed out at the moment. When it's done I'll let the glass one go if you want it. It needs to be about 4" bigger all around to suit a T roadster. The hard part with a track nose is not making it, it's getting the shape to flow with the car. When I get that right, I'll post more pics.

How about this car? Built back in the 50's by Ken Austin with a Ford 6 - I would imagine a 223; have no real knowledge on the matter. I have seen a picture either here on the Hamb or in Rodder's journal of it with the six. This is Scan-190207-0002.jpg it with a flathead v8.

  14. Wow, the aluminium one will look great. I still have a hankering for a straight 6 roadster and slowly beginning to gather parts again, so will be keen on that fibre nose when you’ve finished with it. Let me know how much you want for it via PM when your ready to sell.

Along with many others, this has always been an inspiration for me...

And that roadster that @IronTrap found posted above by @Robert J. Palmer is also very inspirational.

Yep! That's the one that got me going. I even have a Hartman intake, purchased here in NZ for $25!!! Hartman's roadster was very rough. I might be able to piece together a body out of my leftovers, although I only started with leftovers to begin with!

Hartman got away with such a small track nose because the rear of the engine is back to the dash, radiator is behind the nose. Turtle deck is also shortened, short wheelbase.

  18. I’d be happy to have anyones leftovers if they’re cheap enough. I can’t afford much and don’t have that much space currently so just getting smaller parts when I can. Anyway… back to straight six model T’s…

Not entirely sure if this is a T as the rear quarter looks a little different to me…

This Mopar ran very well in the Carrera Panamericana back in the 90's, resting in a '48 Dodge Coupe. It runs a Hemi 4-speed. I would love to stuff it into a wee roadster of some kind, but time just doesn't permit... It has an early Tattersfield head, Edmonds script intake, Chrysler carbs and Phillips Performance side covers and headers. dodge 230.jpg

    I'm currently building a '27 T coupe on a '30 chassis with a 1953 P24 MoPar 6 and a '46 dodge 3 speed truck transmission. Should be fun once it is finished. 20230215_114520_HDR.jpg 20230216_143530_HDR.jpg 20230305_140905_HDR.jpg 20230305_141113_HDR.jpg Message_1679597878939.jpg
