And the gauges are working!!! Oil pressure is running on the low side, but fuel and temp are working fine. Next are tail lights. [IMG]

Been trying to get it ready for Labor Day weekend, but there is to much to do and not enough time to do it all in. But I should be able to drive it around a bit in a couple weeks. I hope.....

I think I got the sides of the headliner figured out. I end up cutting a 1/4 inch rod to run from the header to the rear headliner bow. Wired it to all of the headliner bows and wire tied the last panel to it to pull in between bows to have a smoother look instead of the sags. I think it looks better. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
I steamed the sides just a little to pull the last of the wrinkles out. I hope the rear garnish moldings will help out also. Now passenger side.

And the passenger side is reworked. Got to get the front garnish molding off and rework the corners, but the rods seem to have worked. [IMG][IMG]

Well the merc is settled back in the garage for the winter and ready to finish the upholstery. Got to finish arranging the garage but should be able to drive a merc come spring![IMG][IMG]

Got the front insulation down and part of the carpet fit. Still needs to be bound but it fits pretty good. [IMG][IMG]
And the driver side. Hopefully I might be able to bind it this weekend and get the seat back in. [IMG]

Just finished the steering column cover. Need to cut the insulation but I think that will work. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

The merc is licensed! Might be able to take it on real test drive shortly!

Needle and seat stuck closed and died crossing the street. But ran better before that happened.

  29. That's a nice piece you made to mount the lights. Is that how you did it in your first Merc?

Yeah, pretty much. I didn’t have a shrinker/stretcher when I did the old merc, so it was 4 pieces instead of 2. Held onto my broken lenses for 20 years to do another set of lenses
