Take a '39 Buick like this..... Plus a 582,900 lb Norfolk&Western Y5 2-8-8-2 Mallet steam locomotive..... Throw in a boiler explosion that sends the locomotive boiler sailing 200 feet away from the rails toward a farm house with said '39 Buick parked out front and you wind up with this! Instant custom low-rider! July 7th, 1942, Nolan W. Va.
51 Roadmaster, You bastard, you had me all excited about lowering 'cause I have a '39 Buick sedan. Then the pic of the locomotive and I started to laugh. What a way to start Friday. By the way how are you making out with the hood on your '51? DoUg
Happy Friday.....! Hood is coming along, I bought a decent hood ornament off of Kijiji, just waiting for it to come in the mail. There's a few small stubborn dime sized high spots to work out, but I'll teach the S.O.B.s who's boss... I did pick up another '51 Roadmaster parts/project car on the weekend, look for the thread 'Something Followed Me Home This Weekend'. Take care, glad I could give you a Friday laugh. Back axle still looks like it has some life.....Buick engineering! Can you imagine? There you are sitting at the kitchen table, drinking your morning coffee getting ready to head to work, reading the daily rag about whats happening with the boys in Europe and the South Pacific....All of a sudden, BANG, your beloved Buick is squashed flat and there is a LOCOMOTIVE in your yard???? Yeah mohead1, that s&%$ ain't right...
Things that go bump in the night...I'm sure the story on that is not good...You could fix that now... This would do it too... Glad the hood is coming along @'51 Roadmaster.
