Beautiful car Brian, really cool detailed fabrication and the overall style is timeless. Any idea what the future plans for the car are, will it hit the "Big show circuit" like the Grand National Roadster show and the like? I'd love to get to see it in person....

I'm told it will be in the Discovery Channel booth at SEMA in Las Vegas. That's in a couple of weeks. (You might also see me there for a day or two.)

  5. Another FAST N' LOUD promo ... this time with Brian's flathead-powered Deuce Roadster:

Love the car. This is the style that I love most. Flatheads, red wheels and wide whites are cool. But builds like this are just the ultimate Bad Ass Hot Rod!! My job has me on the road and sitting in a motel 4 nights a week, these shows are what keep me entertained. Hopefully 2months of hard work do not turn into less than 10 minutes of actual build time and 50 minutes of adds and close ups of Richard! lol Say what you want about the guy , but do not tell me you would not love to have his job!:D Larry

Mr. Bass, my jaw dropped to the floor upon seeing your '34 in this thread... More AMAZING is that you built this exceptional hot rod in only 2 months! Drag race inspired hot rods have always inspired me the most - can't wait to see the show this coming Oct. 30th!! Got my hemi going in mine soon enough! 173.JPG

That's pretty much the same colour I've had planned for my '32 3w for the past 2 years........

They will likely set a ratings record for that silly show, will they realize they could do better without the jackass braying every week and having some real good hot rod building instead of the drama and stupidity? I doubt it! :(

Is that on the Battle of the Builders shows that are on tonight?

Nope, That is November 6th. I think Max Grundy's COE truck will be on SEMA, Battle of The Builders show. Max is an incredible hot rod artist and a super nice guy. I have purchased several of his pieces. If you don't know who Max is, check him out. Also, his COE is going to be pretty nice!

Saw the show tonight with much enthusiasm, knowing what this wicked hot rod looked like in finished form BEFORE it was aired! Had some horns knocking with the painter Mike toward the end... Can't wait to see the final assembly next week! That-A-Boy Brian, show these guys how to build a REAL BASS Hot Rod!

Brian Bass. I know of a 31 Ford Model A. How about a trip to VA and we build it and turn it for profit? No? Can't blame a guy for asking.

I am watching the show now! I might watch it twice.

Probably the best episode of Fast N' Loud ever.

Bad case of OLD FART itis on my part. Figured out that the show was on Discovery rather than Velocity and called Jean and had her record it.

Best line from the show. I can paint and do bodywork too. Mike drop! Walks off stage.

  23. It's actually a good build, thanks to Bass for roping them in on a great 60's drag car direction.
I did notice that stupid short VW bus in the background that was supposedly sold off a few years ago.

The required drama kinda tainted it, but was expected. Bass needs his own show. Outstanding built (but we already knew that).

A little drama isn't too bad, the near lack of the jackass braying was the 2nd best part after Bass's involvement!

Get rid of all the jackassedness on that show and it would be watchable. Cars are cool, but the "actors" ruin it for me.
