The Nash grill'd Ford is a recent restoration of an early custom, isn't it? I swear I saw pictures of it in as-found condition not all that long ago. Looks like it stayed pretty true to it's roots. But is that a backup camera under the rear bumper!? I guess I can see that being useful in that car!

I saw this Chevy this weekend, the chop top and the sectioned proportions are purrfect.

  11. I believe so. Here's a shot from the 2012 KKOA Backyard Garage. It was sectioned there during the show.
You can see the rear window was already done....

  19. I was going through this thread this morning looking at all the awesome pictures and I noticed the Jim Stockton Chevy (W.E.H.T. #18). @rudestude posted a great picture of it and this is the first time I've seen it. To me, it looks white or tan or another light color in this picture. It's not primer because you can see reflection and shine in the image. I've seen plenty of color pictures and video of it and I've only seen the car in red. Was this an earlier version, or is it red and the old black and white photography is just playing tricks? E

  21. That Chevy is so incredible! Even after all these years since it was built, it's still a stunner and is timeless.
I remember my first trip to the Leadsled Spectacular in 2000. Me and the gang all rolled into a car wash in Wichita to wash off all the bugs on our sleds from our trip down there, and there it was--just out of the wash still dripping wet with a few guys drying it off. It was so cool to walk up and look at it in an ordinary scene (getting dried off at the car wash). At first I was a little apprehensive to walk up and look it over and talk with the guys, but they were very receptive and couldn't have been nicer. You just don't happen to see iconic cars like this everyday down at the ol' car wash. I'll never forget that day! E

  22. Mike Young's 1960 Chevy "Exotica". Makes searching for Mr. Kudla's very difficult.......

  23. That's funny, Sancho! Ask me how I know (lol)! E

  25. I was at that show and spent quite a lot of time mesmerized by the paint....all the different pearls and flake. I am generally no fan of white cars, but all the activity in that paint job was something to behold. How anyone could come up with what all went into was quite the amazement to me. Not to long ago, I was presented with a surprise gift from a friend....

....yup, that’s what you think it is....I’m still as mesmerized by it as I was in 2000.
