Terry's car looked real nice, just black and white pic's don't do it any justice

You see lots of pics of the 66 Pup, so I always thought it was the first one. The 65 looks like the brother to Billy Jacobs' Kid Goat. If there's another pic of it out there, I'm sure you'll find it. Thanks.

Here's the best image I have, from the old Double H Drag Strip website that I ran a few years ago.
    File0020a.jpg

The picture was taken there by Ronnie Evans on May 9, 1965, the last day of this meet
    ad-world-series01.jpg

Dad won this one when Herb McCandless had something break in the driveline.

Herb had them covered that day until the final. You can see film of the meet on youtube, including the South 64 in action. Google Double H Drag Strip and click the one with May 9, 1965 in the title.

Well, this isn't an improvement, but it is another image, from the great Marty Johnson.

Also ran across this by Marty Johnson
    liberty vs pugh(1).jpg
I saw the Pugh Valiant at Paradise Drag Strip in Calhoun, Ga., in late 66, maybe -- can't pin down the date anymore. My only time to go there. It was billed as a huge funny car meet with Beswick as the big star. He showed, along with Pugh and Robert Nance, who lost an engine. Still have a piece of it.
Someone should do a book of Marty Johnson's work. It would be the definitive document of the Golden Age of SS/FX/AWB racing, at least as it occurred in the Southeast.

I posted these photos back in December in hope of finding some info on the car, a '65 Coronet. I never did receive
any sort of response. This photo was taken in 1968. The fellow behind the wheel is Joe Mangine
of Lemont, Il. This supposedly was a former Grand-Spaulding Dodge (Chicago) car. Joe passed
away and the car is long gone, but I'm still interested in learning anything about it.

Did you search this thread? I seem to remember posting something on this car?

Neat picture...it appears this car has the wheel well done the same as I did my car. It's not attractive enough that anyone else ever took another picture of it, apparently.

Thanks for all the pictures, they are very neat.

I'm thinking I did, but I'll go through it. This must be one mysterious race car. In all the years
that I've put out feelers on this car I've never received one positive response.
