Is there a post that is dedicated to 55 - 57 Chevy Customs? I'm very curious to see the history of these in traditional form. I know the 54 and older Chevy's are all the rage right now at car shows, but it seems the 55 - 57's get put in the "Rich Old Man" / "Boyd Coddington" type of grouping and styling. I'd like to see some examples of how to build these cars the RIGHT way, and for photos of original builds from the 50's and 60's. If there is another post for this already, point me in the right direction. I search but didn't really find what I was looking for.
Here is my 55 the Astorian built in 1964 by the a bros and also fostoria customs Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Unsure if there is such a thread yet. Mr Mark has the first ones that come to mind. This is the Nomad that got my blood going as a teen. I'd call it a custom.

@Special Ed usually has a good pic or two of some really slick five fives. Just from my own experience I have seen more slicked out '55s than the other two years.
I have a 54 hard top that I love but Iv'e seen a couple of 56' mild customs that look just about perfect to me.
This is more rod than custom, but it's near and dear to my heart : And my favorite Tri-5 custom; the '56 Nomad that Cole Foster and his Salinas Boyz built:
I have posted pictures of this '57 before and since I have no pride, I'll post em again! I just love this thing, it screams early '60s custom. Hopefully, one day I'll get back to mine. I haven't touched it in almost a year!
Like this? Yes, I've posted this before. Custom wise this one is about as mild as they come but no less striking, makes me love 56's more than ever.
I don't know if you would call this a mild custom, but it has a few of the custom touches that were popular back when I was in high school.
