  3. how do you think they made the out board brace mount? stud welded on end of spindle?

I have actually seen this type of fender once before. In that case it was not mounted to the spindle at all but was attached with a nut, bolt and washer to the Hubcap itself. Not saying this is what they did but it does make you wonder.

With my slightly younger eyes than you and Ted I think it's just mounted to the wheel cover.
I've seen these fenders on another car before but didn't pay attention to how it was attached. There's has to be some sort of bearing if it's on the hub cap.

Here's my coupe a few years back. Un-chopped, hard channel. MoPar 413/Push-Button 727. Currently being mechanically redone; motor freshened up and punched out slightly, rebuilt the 727, trac-loc, line lock, etc. I was going for an early 60s look. My Coupe.jpg

Hey jo... that '32 was started by a co worker at GE named Bob Pelton in the late '70's ... I didn't know he was doing anything with it at the time...
He did everything that streetrodder mag said to do to his engine... ruined the heads and block... sold the car to the late Wayne Smith... he drove it for years... story goes that while Al Lavine was chopping the coupe [2"] Joe Brown went to get the steel for the roof insert... they chopped it another [2"] while he was gone...
    it went to Steve Vanblackam after Wayne's death...then ? ? ?
    ........ rock on johnny...
spoke with joe brown... he has picks of the coupe with the roof just cut off... I have his # for you,,,

Back at the Natick stomping grounds! Hope you're doing well, young man!
I hear our friend Carlton is still playing with cars ( my buddy Vin Cassidy went to see him a couple of weeks ago, but I missed the bus- I should run up to see him before the snow flies)

I'm around! Back in Maine for a few years and building my collection back up. Getting into T stuff, and TROJ fodder, lots of early NOS and still into everything else, as usual. I'm going back over the coupe now, and piecing together a '31 truck, half a dozen roadsters/tourings and still sitting on the '39 Buick to someday Kustomize. Coupe has been off the road for going on 3 years, so I've been skipping shows. I like driving to stuff, and didn't wanna be the guy without a car again. Will be back in action full swing come Spring. I'm at a restoration shop now, and get to handle all the old stuff, as I know the most about it; it's a good gig and I get access to the shop and tools whenever I like. Miss you and all the guys and gals of the Alter Boys and extended family. We will cruise again together soon. Hope all is well.

Thanks! The 413 did a great job pushing her when tired, so it should be a handful now. The stick is Amish from Ohio. Had it well over 20 years.
