Hit a couple swap meets Friday and they were small enough that we had some extra time on our hands so me and Mikeintulsa we driving around and came across a plethora of rusty junk.... in the midst was a 1937 Zephyr that was pulled from creek or something. It had sat upside down for a long time, it's pretty rusty but I think it will save a few others and get them back on the road with its parts!

    Let me be the first...

Let's get Jim Sibley to work on it. He will have that back in shape in no time.

You know its not like the good ole days and I'm talkin 70's, 80's when there was still tons of tin laying in the fields and beside buildings, barns and houses. The big scrap drives took care of that. Soooo its refreshing to see something like this super desirable even ruff as it is in the raw. Glad its going to survive pieced but survive. Thanks for sharing that junk... @chaddilac

That guy in Rome with that 1949 Cadillac project on here could probably fix that Lincoln...

The Perth one was a huge undertaking. Would have suited a Carson top. (Or a Hall top if you could afford me. Hehe ) The roof was an inch thick in bog.
I've got the seller's details somewhere.

Yeah, I know that car, I loaded it out of LA.
It was originally on a Ford Ranger chassis and ran a Vulcan V6 engine.

That's an interesting custom trim on the bonnet, almost looks like it should be there, did it have any other custom modifications

I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it, but that's a 1937 Studebaker hood (with stock trim).

  26. What a great find. I am glad to know that it is going to help save some other Zephers.
It is hard to think that the only part on the Zepher we were looking for in the late 50s, was the transmission.
Looking back, it seems like a crime, but there were lots of them in the wreckers. I still remember seeing a 40 Lincoln convertible in the auto wrecker, and it ended up going to the crusher.

With all the abuse that car has seen in the last 80 years, how the hell did the grille survive perfectly intact?
