I was thinking it'd be cool if we had a thread showing different rear wheel radiuses. As an aside, how much of the wheel/tire do you guys like to see sticking out past the fender? I know it comes down to personal preference but I'd like to hear other people's opinions.

  2. I'll play. Many '57 owners don't even catch this. Took a set of crappy front fenders. Grafted the wheel openings to my quarters. IMG_20141126_113203978.jpg

20170411_1251141001.jpg 20170411_1250301001.jpg Here's my Morris Minor Gasser project . Had to radius the wheel wells to clear the slicks. Used bead roller to form flares then a hammer and dolly to smooth them out. Raised the opening 3 inches. Big advantage with bolt on rear fenders.

  6. Back in the early '70's on a '63 Falcon HTP I took front wheel arches from another Falcon , and worked them onto the rear. Wanted to show off my TT's.....

I am debating re-doing them on my '60 Falcon, after finishing rebuilding what the texting teenager did to it.

I have the parts, but I am running out of energy.

They do look really cool. Mine looked like posts #7 and #10, for a week or so.

That's the downside of custom body work on the street. Once I get the quarters re-skinned, I will see if I am up to doing it all over again.

I remember the old baseball bat trick to get more clearance.

Falcons w/radius shoulda been a factory option. Just seems right!
