    In my opinion, the "Touch of Class" 54 Chevy is the best appearing front end ever on a 53/54. Those Caddy headlight bezels just put it over the top. You rarely see it done. Bill

    Some how I screwed this up yesterday, now I'll try again.
    This I bought back in about '93, maybe '94. It was at the Corvette and hi performance swap meet held in February, in Puyallup. It came up from Cali. and the guy with the car said it was built by a custom bike shop in Frisco, (but who knows most stories are b.s. from these traveling peddlers, as are hidden problems with their cars and this one certainly turned out to be). It was on a stock '93 caprice cassis, lowered and had the wire wheels. The interior was almost flawless but the chrome on the dash was pitted from age. This car and my '66 Riviera GS with factory dual quads made two in the stable and then came my ,34 making three in there so there were to many mouths at the trough, so one had to go to the next guy so this '48 found a new barn to reside in. Great look car, paint needed redone, steering sucked because of bad steering box, (never got around to fixing that), and method of clamping or mounting to the frame really sucked big time. All in all though I like it a lot and wish I could get my hands on it today now that Mo's toy is on the street.     Thanks for the info , that merc is AWESOME. A mash up of my two favorite styles makes a killer outcome imo, plus I have a 54 merc too I'd love to start going in that direction with
