Technical Fat fender quick change

Does anyone have any guidance or pics of a 35-40 ford frame with a V8 quick change rear? I was looking at a quick change center section for My 37 ford panel that has all original suspension. I was planing already to flatten the rear crosmember but dont know if the spring will hit or not. Thanks in advance.

 

Won't work, will need an A spring and crossmember.

 

No with stock suspension! Coil overs and modifications Yes! Or as stated above.

Doesn't matter if it's seen or not. He'll know it's there. A real hot rodder doesn't do things to be seen. He does it to please himself. Go for it man!

Sure do JB-Bruce lives about five hours drive from me,he has been retired for some time and not doing too much hot rodding now.

 

Thanks for the comments No Respect-I have added an adjustable top link from the Q/C almost to the front pivot point to stop "winding up" the 35 radius rods since these photos were taken some time ago.The chassis is going under my 35 Pickup using a stakebed tray,so no floor clearance problems.The fueltank is to be mounted forward of the rear end behind the cab.

 

Probably a lot lower than you need to go, but this is the setup going under my '36 3-window. The bags are only there for adjustability - the weight is taken by an 'A' spring minus a few leaves. Should give you an idea of the relative positioning of things tho'.

This is how Marco at Jaurez Fabrication modified my rear end setup in my 40 in preparation for a V8 quickie. Model A/40 rear crossmember compilation, A spring, split wishbone and 'torque bar'.
