Add me to the list that couldn't drill a hole in the fender.

My 47 Lincoln came from the factory with a power hide away antenna in the driver's side front fender, it was vacuum operated! It's all rusted up, so I'm going to put a 12 volt electric powered one in it's place when the time comes.

  3. I had the 'hidden' style antenna-I found it worked just fine as long as I was parked beside the radio station.
I went with the cowl mounted style with dual mount and have no regrets-works great and has the early look to it.
It doesn' IMG_3938 - Copy.JPG t bother me to see an antenna on a car

  4. I have a '37 Cadillac and the factory antenna is four flat strips of steel under the driver's side runningboard. works fine, but that is just AM.
On soft top cars you can run a wire under the roof.

It's ok to have an antenna if you tie a squirrel tail to it.

Do you not have a smart phone? Just stream music from your phone to a blue tooth speaker.

This speaker has a rechargeable internal battery and is completely wireless.
Using your smart phone allows you to listen to any song you want and quickly build any Playlist you want, or listen to any radio station in the country. And ahh...no antennas

And what is the matter with antennas? Earthlings! Primitive species.

My avatar sports twin power antennas just ahead of the twin spots that Charlie Hall fitted originally.
