  2. I walked around, making sure I remembered how to shoot photos, and shot some more photos before heading ‘down town’ for the awards show...

I saw that Imperial at Speed Week 2016. That is one cool car!

  4. I’ll let these cars speak for themselves.

Okay, I lied... as an artist, I am plagued by seeing things like animals or people in certain organic images, like floor tiles, marble, wood panelling, that kind of stuff. With that in mind, the shadow in the lower left corner of this speedster got my attention. the answer will be revealed at the end of the post...

  7. I think Mike felt bad for the motley crew from Michigan because, dang if they didn’t get an award. Truth is, every single soul that showed up at the even, including the police, sheriff, fire, me and various venders. Thanks again to Mike @Nicks Hot Rod Garage, Amy and the crew!

Very cool Mark! I especially like seeing all the things I didn't see like the shots from the hotel parking lot.. Great seeing you again.

  16. Thanks Fellas.

Larry, that write up is great. I think I met the young lady who wrote it.

Thanks Dan, I wish I had a good camera like yours for those low light shots. That and your well trained eye...

  22. I'm at the top left of this photo, sitting in a chair, just to the left of the guy in the white shirt. I remember seeing you get out of the roadster to let Marcy have your seat and thinking "That was nice. Glad she got a ride, instead of vending all weekend."
Wish I would have known it was you, I would have introduced myself.

  24. Marcy has done so much for the hot rod community that, when I saw her creeping up the hill, to keep out of the way of viewers and cameras, I had to offer her the opportunity. I guess she really enjoyed the ride and that was what it was all about. I regret not wearing a giant hat pointing down that said “HAMB MEMBER” and not having the chance to meet people like yourself. Especially when you come as far as Canada. Maybe next year. For now, I’m here almost every Friday, trying to support the Friday Art Show. Thank for dropping the note.

image.jpeg You probably can tell, I think this roadster is really slick. Here it is parked in a downtown alley, with the emergency brake on. Not much level ground in Central City!

  27. Jigger, Thanks for posting all the great photos and sorry I missed you at this event. I spent most of my time in the parking garage at the Iles working on my deuce. As I lost the Hyd. clutch as I pulled in on Thursday night after attending the Delux speed shop party. Got it fixed Sat. around 5:30 to late to make the Hill Climb or the awards, but made it home in it and that is what counts. I will be back next year & hope to make a run up the hill.
