Great looking engine and should be lottsa fun to drive! How much did the water pump riser raise the fan center line from stock location?

  7. The Zips riser moves the fan up 5". Search Zips on the HAMB and you'll get lots of info. I kept my engine / trans as low as I could in the chassis so the floor inside has almost no hump resulting in ample leg room. Spendy, but so is a quality electric fan (which I didn't want on this car). image.jpg

That clear plastic fuel line should be banned as a fire hazard.

    Hello,

When I was walking around the Price Transfer Automobilia Museum last June, I came across a display that portrayed a typical, backyard, hot rod garage. Complete with a couple of quality, detailed motors, parts, speed equipment and well read magazines. I was trying to get a different reflective, yet clear shot of the motor. The parts scattered around, the long block ready for assembly, the feel of the workbench, the magazines were all part of the memory experience for local hot rodders.

Of course, it was pretty much a dream backyard garage as the stuff was pristine and was a well-supplied hot rod work place. If only…

The only thing missing was the pair of drive in speakers hooked up to our portable radio for homemade stereo sounds.

They weren't half bad for sounds...
