Lots of metal shaping talent is obvious in this top…. Great work!

  3. Beautiful work.

That back window is pure sex.

    Cool, thanks!
    Thank you!
    Thanks!
Thanks! We are actually going to make the window frame so it that it has the look that we want, then cut down glass to fit.
(See above) We didn't want to be constrained by another window frame, this way it will be exactly what we want.

  9. Killer work. Is the plan to run the top semi permanently with it only being removed on occasion or is it designed to be taken off and on regularly?

Wasn't there a thread on here about Carson style tops for 32-34 fords recently? Thought I remembered seeing it not long ago. Anyone remember that?

You sure reinventing the wheel on this one...the door opening to the posts has my eyes going funny and its all good. I know there is forward vision beyond my scope of view and I am enjoying the meandering path to completion. Forge on Metal Sculptors...;)

In the end, you didn't save much of the top that your customer brought you. Would it have been easier to start with nothing or was the old top helpful. I do love the shapes that you have created. I'm sure you've worked very hard to get it right. Thanks for sharing the ups and downs of your progress.

Thank you! That's a good question. In some ways yes and in other ways no.

I'm curious to see the top finished with windshield and what is done for a windshield once the top is taken off.
Also curious to see how much time would be taken to make the transition.

I suspect that if it's too much work that it may be one of those removable things that never get removed. ;)

I will post some pics showing the glass etc. The windshield glass is removed, then the top is removed.
That way it is easier to deal with.

Nice work, impressed with workmenship. If it'd been me,I would of had a taller windshield opening, but looks good.

Thanks! He preferred "fashion" over function. It's actually easier to see than it looks.
