Hey everyone, I know a lot of you guys know and love this car. We are proud to announce that Old Time Garage is resurrecting this historic custom. We are doing this for the current caretaker of the car, our friend Terry Kong. Terry had a stroke last February and is paralyzed on his left side. Old Time Garage has been storing the car for 5 years and has done some minor restoration work including bodymounts, and a quick scuff and re-paint and a few other things in 2011 as a surprise for Terry but it's TIME....it's time for this piece of Canadian history gets the attention it deserves and is being fully restored and painted and will be brought back to it's former glory of when Cort was showing the car in the early 60's. We are not changing anything on the car that makes this car what it is. For a full description of what is involved please see our YouTube video at:

We will be documenting the progress on this restoration on our YouTube Channel so please follow the build on there, we aren't sure if we will be able to update on this forum as often.

We are in the process of ordering t-shirts that feature this car and all proceeds will be put towards the purchase of parts for the restoration. Your support will be greatly appreciated. Please visit our website at oldtimegarage.ca to purchase (give us a few weeks for production) and give your support to Terry and Cort Elliot who is being inducted into the Greater Vancouver Motorsports Pioneer hall of fame this weekend for this car.

Cover of Car Craft back in the 60s? Yes?
    Always loved that car.

Glad this car is getting it's due. It was nice to see it still around but kinda sad to see it flat black and without the quarter panel inserts. Definitely a worthy project.

Rick, good on you for taking on this project for Terry, and the history of Cort's old car.

Just a slight correction on the name, The Greater Vancouver Motorsports Pioneers Society. www.GVMPS.org

Yes, Car Craft 1963 but not on the cover. See our YouTube video...it shows all the coverage in the original magazines! Search YouTube for Old Time Garage and you'll see the video

031q.jpg This is the Copper color, one of 3 colors it was in it's lifetime (aside from the flat black it is now of course!)

That classic may be the best custom ever to come out of B.C. IMO
