I have two, well three if you count my wifes VW Thing. A 68 Chevelle my dad bought new when I was in Nam, and my Model A hotrod I took a half a lifetime to build. Both are very street worthy. We would drive them anywhere.

2.For now. I really want to have my fun and get them going. I've been saving parts and slowly working on them for years. Now its time to maker it happen. I want an On Topic convertible, because the grandkids wont remember working on grandpa's pos. They will remember riding in a land barge with no roof..

  4. LOL my granddaughter was 4 when she started handing me tools, now she is 23 and remembers everything that we ever turned a wrench on. They don't forget it if it was done with grandpa.

I'm in #2. My avatar car is just completed and oddly enough I have a 97 Mustang waiting behind it. It was my daughters car who passed last March at age 53, a real car girl. She had given it to her nephew, (my grandson), who had lowered it 2 or 3 inches and wrecked it twice and his sister once.
Its black and the interior is like the day it was bought, but it needs a lot of tlc with body parts, paint and so on. Not my usual type of car but it has great potential and will be different for me and a new learning adventure, plus keeping a cherished keep sake and memory of my daughter.

I used to be #3 but found it stressful to have that many projects at once. Now, I'm #2...one driver and one project.. I'd like to be #3 again, if they were all done cars.

OH yeah! I'm going somewhere with this... I wish I was in camp #3 (million car club), but reality puts me in camp #1 (lack of space and funds). I was just wondering what was "normal", if there is such a thing.

I tried the "stash at a friend's house" once. Figured I could be forgiveness instead of permission from my better half when I told her....the car was sold within a week!

Usually 2, but right now I only have 1 car. I am planning on retiring in a year or so, so I liquidated all but my 40 Coupe until I figure out what I want to do.

Number 4. Buy and sell parts for the most part.
Picked up a pair of '57 Chevies that I hope to sell complete.
Used to part out 8-10 cars a year. Can't do any anymore.

    just became a #2

  20. The '29 AA I've had since 1974, still not on the road, but I work on something regularly as money and time allows. Three other OT cars that demand my time and money just to keep the family mobile. I want to be in category 1-A, long-time owner, never intend to sell, and I hope against all likelihood that I'll get it on the road someday.

5 roadsters, 3 three window coupes, 6 five window coupes, chopped Merc, 2 sedans, 2 pickups, couple others plus a few OT drivers. 12 finished and the rest in process. It's definitely an addiction.
