I remember when the "Targetmaster" was $900......then $1200.....of course I was banging a new girl every week then too.......sucks to get old

im passing on going to bowling green this fall. i would rather go to the fall out. i went to both last year and the fall out was way more fun.

Older style engine..............all about economy of scale....less vol , non current design compared to new production, ...means higher price. Just like 283 and 327 Pistons....they are real pricey......compared to 350.

Another one from the Meltdown. Got the official "OK" from GlassThamesDoug to post it - he said he was doing "the hot rod walk"! I suppose most of us have done that a time or two.


Goes to show that drag racing ain't all burnouts and wheelies!

That is correct! "Noodle Arm" David Zie and "Sassy" Carly Stupar will be match racing all weekend! Carly just had her car dyno tuned and found 60hp and almost 100 foot pounds of torque! We went to Byron on Labor day and she made a pass at 13.47et and 100.93 MPH! They have been texting each other and are already bench racing! Can't wait to see this match up again!

 

Any recommendations on a chassis dyno near southeast Iowa?

22 days and counting till Fallout! Can't wait to see the racing, had a blast last year and plan on being there for every run. I does help that the track is only 10 minute drive from my house. So tell all your friends to come, we here in Wisconsin know how to hold a good event! See yas in 22 days!

 

I am thinking that "Noodle Arms" is gonna hafta buy the whole truckload of ice cream...

 

Is there a hotel near by that some of the racers will be staying?
Trying to get all my ducks in a row to make the haul up there.

 

James- there is an Econolodge about 10 minutes away. Supposed to be nice and clean and a reasonable rate.
