Leave them on. In my opinion the present build style suits fenders. It looks real user friendly the way it is. Cool ride enjoy.

definitely fenders, trucks w/o fenders look like rat rod style to me.

Take 'em off! Sell 'em and put the money back into the rod. You're in So Cal, you don't need no stinkin' fenders! We get rain about once or twice a year here, screws the fenders. Hot rods look much better fenderless and hoodless.

To the guy above that said fenderless looks like a rat rod; well, fendered looks like a street rod. You building a hot rod, or what? LOL!

    Cool ride dude!

Look, if a guy from b.c. can go fenderless, a guy from So Cal can do it piece of cake.

Thanks Blues. It is getting closer to done. It will be shiny black when finished.

  9. If my fenders weren't so beat up, i'd have probably put them on,
but I don't think mine looks terrible without them. IMG_20170819_065651-2.jpg

    Keep the fenders on.

  13. Here we go again. Asking for opinions. If you don't hear what you want, then don't get mad. I think you should fix the fenders you have. They look better than what I started out with. I am a slow worker and it took me a year to get mine as decent as they are now. Still could be better but I got tired of messing with them. You can get fiberglass fenders. I see them used on Ebay a lot.
I say keep the fenders. In my opinion, a truck is the one thing that looks bad without them.
Oh yeah, nice truck. Looks in good shape compared to most beat up trucks we find.

Fenders. IMHO, trucks have too many lines & breaking points, unlike a coupe or sedan. They are really hard to make "flow" without fenders & running boards. I have seen a few that have nailed it, but most look wrong for what ever reason. Just my opinion though.

Looks like a nice truck. I'd keep the fenders on this one. Whats a og axle?

  19. I would say fenders (you probably could have guessed that looking at my AVATAR). My advice would be to work on the things that won't change (like the brakes, engine, trans, rear end, etc and attend a LOT of shows. When you find one you like photograph the hell out of it and go from there.

  24. For a truck of that vintage those fenders look like they are in really good shape. Usually they are beat to hell. Keep 'em
