Technical Tom Langdon Dual Carb First Run Issues

Ck your dist cap and rotor, sometimes a cracked cap will act like this.

I have a new tank and the required filter that Tom suggests. When I run my dual system only on one carb both the carburetors do the same thing. HE also said that it would be highly unlikely that both of them were clogged up and doing the exact same thing.

Hey everyone, I have not been able to work on this at all during the last week as I had the kids with me before they go back to school today. I will start tackling again this weekend.

Sounds like maybe condenser but more likely you don't have a vacuum release in your gas cap. Try just removing the cap and driving it. Third thing is the float levels.

 

Okay everyone.... I have her running like a champ now. I can't tell you what actually fixed it but I did the following.

New sparkplugs gapped to .40, points gapped to .16, distributer condenser and plug wires. I can't tell you wich one fixed my issue but runs like a dream now and still does not have exsaust.

Time to go get some exhaust and start enjoying this thing.
