  3. Speaking of Herb Adams ... his 1965 Pontiac Vivant Roadster [owned by Dr. Mark (@mrbhotrod) Brinker of Houston, TX] took home 1st place honors in Class R (American Dream Cars of the 1960s) at the 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance:

Was this the Doctors second Pebble Beach win? I think he redid the Beast III and won the same time as Don Ferguson with the Miller Lakester,,, I think

You just single-handedly ruined the thread for me. Nothing could top a photo of Ed, Gene and Ed's Roadster. You might as well just close the thread now.

That would be more worth more than the price of travel and admission. Seeing those two Gentlemen .

  11. I saw the "Reactor" just before it was in the last auction at the old Harrahs collection in Sparks. It looks a LOT better now. Eds Roadster is still one of the all time classics.

  12. Actually it's Dr. Mark (@mrbhotrod) Brinker's third "win" at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

(As you mentioned) his 1952 Chet Herbert "Beast III" Streamliner took 2nd place in Class U (HOT RODS: Lakesters and Bonneville Racers) in 2010:

... and at the 2012 event, his 1953 Mameco-Ardun Glasspar G2 took home the prestigious "Dean Batchelor Trophy":

Citroen DS chassis and Corvair flat 6? wow...I drove a Corvair around Monterey (actually Seaside) and there was a DS there, too. Got to look it over and talk with him several times, and follow it down the highway for a stretch.

Neat stuff, hope to see more pics!
