I used a quick release steering wheel adapter from Bicknell Racing Products. Works great and I move the steering wheel from machine to machine

  4. Fiddy, has anyone sent you body bead profiles, i.e. 32 or 33/34 Ford beltline beads or lower body beads? If so, are you offering these?

    Thanks,
    Steve

I would also like a set of tipping dies for my modified Woodward Fab unit. Let me know how to get them.

I also believe that the Eastwood, Harbor Freight, and Woodward Fab units come out of the same plant in China. I purchased an Eastwood unit and had to send it back, one of the shafts was bent. I sent it back, but not before getting my Woodward fab unit. Guess what? when comparing the "made in China" boxes of the two bead rollers, they both had a 10-12 digit part number that was identical except for the last two digits.

  10. I was just thinking about these dies a couple of days ago?...weird...I still need some.

YES! wide floor bead dies, as well as the original tipping dies, and custom bead profiles available upon request.

my quality will beat any hoosier set you'll find.

also, email [email protected] for custom machined replacement part for any of your rare or unobtanium parts needs. 50's ford 2" drop and disc brake spindles, cavalier R&P steering kits... skies the limit

Yes but if you search you will find details on how I beefed up my bead roller and fitted it with a reversable motor that’s controlled by a foot pedal

How did you beef it up? Pics. My roller is from "the Princess". I got a set of extra Eastwood fancy dancy dies at a great price from KMS last January but could use a die to make the flange bead on '32 fenders where the wire goes. My son is converting my bead roller to electric using the motor and controls from a treadmill. Will add the foot pedal. For DC motors those treadmills are great and people give them away on Craigslist all the time.

Great pics and fabbing. My roller is a little different. Got it when Princess was unloading them for $100.

  23. I noticed that Harbor Freight online isn't showing their bead roller as available, and when I went to their nearby store yesterday, there were none on display. I didn't ask whether they discontinued them, but wondered if anyone has noticed this, too.

for those looking for bead rollers, HF does NOT carry them any longer.

here are links to find the exact same roller that is going to need the same mods to beef them up as the HF.

    Eastwood
    Woodward Fab
    Amazon
    Summit
    Northern Tool

  26. Thanks, FiddyFour. Answers that question, and offers us better sources.

Word was that they were going to discontinue the English wheel but I didn't see anything about the bead roller. I bought their floor model English wheel in Yakima at a steep discount and then went back and bought the extra rollers that they didn't know they had. They show the English wheel and bead roller in the catalog so maybe they quit stocking them in stores as they probably didn't sell a lot of them in any one store but one might be able to order it.
I bought and Eastwood Bead roller a while back when they had a sale on them. Haven't pulled it out of the box yet.
