Well its been a minute since being able to get back here and post some stuff. Ill get right to it. 55 chevy, since i started driving ive always wanted a 55. Never could land the dream car ive always wanted, 2 door 55 chevy sedan ir hardtop never really mattered to me. I just knew i wanted one and as time went on i lost focus ran through alot of other cool cars, until i ran across this 55 4 door Belair v8 car. At first i had buyers remorse because it wasnt a 2dr. That's a really solid looking 55. By the way, there's nothing wrong with a four door......Especially if it's a 55, 56, or 57 Chevy.
Shoebox Chevys in this condition are getting harder and harder to find. Seems like all that's around anymore are complete basket cases or $40k concours showcars. Very nice find.
That car looks to be completely original! Great find. Sound suppression in place, do you have the interior?
Be proud you have such a solid car. Don't ever make excuses because it is a 4 door. Just put some friends in the back seat and when they don't have to climb over the seats to get in they will say how nice it is to open the back door and sit down.
I was fortunate enough to purchase this all original 1 owner 69,000 mile Belair from my 82 year old cousin last week. I grew up with this car and I am 66 now. It does have 1 repaint from 34 years ago. I am absolutely in Love with this car.
If you still want a two door start collecting parts while you fix it up. You have a nice car to start with so it's worth it either way.

First thought that came to mind is that I would probably pop those caps off even tho I know they are the repro flat centered wheels, and after scrolling down, Whada ya know, I agree with myself that it looks better, at least from a angle anyway Wish it were mine
