    Also for white letters

  5. looks like a toss up. o_O

  6. #2 but as mentioned before with white numbers. The blue on red and red on blue is usually a no-no in the sign painting world as there is a dizzying visual effect created between the two colors and legibility suffers. Just my 1 cent worth as a former sign painter.

JD, he's not giving up any inches, XO for Ford is only the 223 motor or the 262 motor, GMC is GM only and if it did have one (302) it would be a MP

  9. A vote for number one.
It looks like it's pretty even.
Can I vote twice for number one? :)

    wait a minute
    two is pretty good....

I guess it depends on the predominant colors of the support vehicles or the shade canopy.
both color schemes will work well.
break any tie by looking at the rest of the outfit.

    why be ordinary?

Upper one. It looks like a Ford with the blue sides. The lower one reminds me of AMC Rebel or scrambler.

2, I think the red on the bottom will stand out more next to the salt.

I like them both but went HOLY SHIT, HE IS BUILDING A REAL RACE TRUCK and not a casino parking lot poser when I opened the thread. . Cool beans mon.
I'd agree with the posts that say visibility and easy to recognize out on the salt are a big factor. When guys are a quarter mile or more off the course watching and doing the here he comes there he went thing having a race rig that folks can readily spot and Id is a great thing. Makes it easier to zero in on it with the long lens too.

The class limit is 325", even I give up inches at 311. A GMC pickup up thru 59 for sure can run a 302+ in XO/Production pickup and are at El Mirage and probably at Bonneville too this year. To truly compete in XO, a GMC or Hudson pickup will give you the closet number. In XO/Production Car where no GMC can run, 261" Chevrolets have been built to 300+ inches with big cranks. $$$$$$ A Ford just gives up too much without a special crank being made....just saying.
