The project is reactivated and running.
Configuration is now : LG 4 305 ci (‘86), 700-R4, Holley, manual choke, 600 cfm
Rear axle reduction is 2.73 and rear tyres are 28 “
    Overall weight is 1200 lb.
    It’s rather fast.
Acceleration is straight curve, meaning I don’t feel when the secondary jets are opening.
I compare with my Mazda which gets a serious turbo-like kick at exactly 3.400 rpm.
Any way to find out or calculate at what rpm the secondary jets do open ?

  2. If you can get your Qjet to sound and act like this one, you'll be all set! ;)

Here's a good demonstration of how the secondary air valve works. God, I LOVE this video!

If you can't get it figured out . PM me and I have an Edelbrock 600 that needs a kit ,but it is yours for the shipping. It is just collecting dust on my shelf. Can't bring myself to throw it in the trash can. I may even have an adapter to fit it to a Qjet manifold.
