    I want to put out a heart-felt "THANK YOU!" to all the HAMB Friday Art Show contributors who donated art for the 4th Annual Steel Stampede Car Show and Gearhead Festival, happening tomorrow in Monte Vista, CO. This show raises funds for a local veterans memorial honoring all those from this mountain Valley who never came back from war... any war. These pieces of art should greatly enhance our fund-raising efforts! There are many artists represented, too many to name individually, but we thank each and every one of you! Please check out our list of art donated, and tip your hat to those who stepped up to help a poor rural area honor its war dead.

    First painting in a series of drive ins. This was done back when A G first aired. It's acrylic with a crackle finish to give it an aged look. Some glare in photo to the left.

    Thanks Gary, I should confess however that the origins are photographic, with lots of manual digital modifications but still originally a photo.

    I could have made the Tomato patch and Garage artistic, having plants growing up, around, in and through the truck but, like you mentioned, artistic license, to enhance the story telling. In town, ya see things but out in the middle of nowhere, you have plenty of time to dream... :cool: I gust traded my ’79 F-250 Super Cab, I’m sure Tim missed his too.
