Unfortunately, no pics, but I'm on my TENTH 56 Chevrolet. Why not keep one, and stop buying another, and another? The last THREE have been Sedan Deliveries. I figure since I started in 1968 with the first one, and still have one today, and since they're all basically the same car, that ought to count, right? Current one is the last one. My advice is to keep the car you always wanted, and not keep replacing one with another, like I've done. Sure would have been cheaper in the long run. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

  13. Ok all you long term owners, I'll go the other way.
Brought my avatar in 2012, and it's only been off the road for a little over 12 months in that five years.

  14. I thought you had owned yours longer, Jeff.
Bought my 35 in 81 so that's 36 years. I drove it around back then and now I hasn't moved from that spot in ten years. Its next after the rebuild on the RPU. JW

Certainly a high proportion of long term faithful old farts around here! Good on you! I include myself in that number - the roadster in my avatar has hauled my fat ass around since 1991, with no end in sight, I hope!

I purchased this car in 1973, the body was on a trailer (with the sheet metal thrown inside) and the frame stuck in the back of the pickup that delivered it. I had it on the road in the early 80's then quit driving it (a long ugly story) and then started to resurrect it starting more than ten years ago, finally getting it to where I can drive it anytime I wanted to this year. It was painted in the early 80's and some of the 70's era bodywork needs attention but I plan on doing nothing but driving it while I work on a 53 Studebaker Starlight Coupe. IMG_0879.JPG

15 years. Got married in it. Car still looks good. I've aged like a president, though, I look like Mr. Burns from the Simpsons now.

    Since 1988.
Long trips to car meets and trade shows.
    Filmed in a movie,
Ran Newport Hillclimb once for the fun of it.
Used as photo prop for a few weddings.
This photo shows being used as a "1950s" party photo prop.
Normally I use it for carrying building supplies.

Got my '55 Chevy 210 2 door in July '70 from a man who got it in '65. Got my '34 Chevy 5 window in Feb. '82. Lot a miles and memories from both. When I get in the '55, it's like I'm still 17 discounting the grey hair, aches, stiff joints .....
