  1. koop with that kind of plug damage im thinking two valves a seat touch up a hone job and lets hope the piston ring groove is not damaged piching the ring. any sharp edges on the top of the piston can be smoothed off. I have all the tools or friends to fix it. im off tonight at 830 pm let me know what you need. I will help any way I can. with the damage to the threads like they were hit with something it makes me wonder if you have the right plugs. almost like the threads are going into the combustion chamber.

  14. after further review I think the rusty plug has been in the engine since the first meltdown if it ever was in the engine.

  16. bill if you are really planning on running nitro in the white tiger I suggest you look at impacts nitro helmet. the filters are built in. with how fast you would be going a open face helmet and old mask wont be legal. they are located in indy. its a very comfortable fit. its what I use.

Actually that's the dial in when we had the small 500cfm carb on and the 270 gears in it.

Don't you know you are to clean that off at the track and then put 9.90 on it for your dial in for the trip home.

All Hacked Up's current status. Shortblock is suppose to be ready in a few hours. A whole lot of work to be done still in a short time.

I guess My posts are out of order. I should post this before last post. Please don't take this as looking for pity. It's been the roughest 4 weeks my family has ever been through. Our son has been diagnosed with cancer. Much testing and waiting has given us a best case scenario in that nothing has spread. He came home today from first round of chemo and at this hour is resting well. I had myself ready to throw in the towel on the meltdowns but he insists that I go race... decompress. He said he will stay with his mother for the weekend. 24 years old but has to live with us now with no way to work. It's heart wrenching. He's tough and concerned about everyone else. So good lord willing, we're coming. I'm in need of a 28 oz sbf balancer.

I'm calling shenanigans on myself and Koop. I found the piston pics along side of Koop's - fake out - plug pic.

The Scout is back from the chassis shop with a shiny little certification sticker on it. It's IHRA but I'm hoping to line up the NHRA guy in Fargo on the way down. The S&W chute mount is done. It's not exactly how I wanted it (miscommunication) but it's in and it's growing on me the more I look at it. I spent a couple of hours tonight installing the release handle and putting the interior back in. Engine if fine - going to the tune up guy Monday morning. We're still on schedule

Yes I am aware the cable is a bit too long

Sorry about your son and hope for the best.
I have some of the Ford dampers that are off balance but not a clue what the weight is.

Thanks salty. Means a lot. He has a long rough road ahead. We all do. Probably have to check part numbers to know for sure. Mines an or 69 part. Not trusting that. Thank you
