Some truck engines have huge sodium filled exhaust valves with large diameter stems. Otherwise no big difference exept compression ratios may vary depending about heads.
    www.ford-y-block.com may help...

Ah, forgot to mention different oil pans and dip stick location differences and front mount to frame...

  4. same on cars and truck up to 1ton for the most part
trucks sometimes have different oil pans
the bigger HD trucks got the different heads with sodium filled valves to handle the extra heat, governors and some had different exhaust manifolds
a lot of the truck heads had smaller valves than the car heads

There is a Y truck water pump that has a high fan mount as part of it=that water pump dose not fit in car, take it off,car water pump just bolts up. The timing chain cover for front mounts have longer lower for side bolts/but dosen't matter/can be used with side mounts anyway.

That water pump with the high mount fan is really hard to get, I searched all over for one and had mine rebuilt.

Thermostat housing. Truck is vertical, car 45* to the right.
