Pare down the "Honey-Do" list. Work on the 39 (yesterday). Visit with my daughter all day (2nd). Take the 47 Clipper out for a drive today or tonight, maybe go see fireworks. Poor thing's been sitting for over 3 weeks!

Work on the sedan for a while today, fry some fish for dinner and watch the fireworks tonight, other than that, not much.

Treated myself to a windshield for the '39 Pickup project last night. Listing crap on eBay to repay myself. Garage and basement are over grown with clutter that needs to go. Sell, scrap, or throw away. Bob ===========HAPPY 4th of JULY! ==================

  5. My wife is working today for the local water park (Schlitterbahn, New Braunfels) so my job is to have a cold drink ready for her when she gets home this evening.

Heading over to my Aunts house from Long Beach to Whittier and came across this flag field on Alondra....surreal! There must be at least 120-150 flags!

I remember during my youth in the 60's, on July 5th, I would take apart the fireworks remains and see a great amount of Asian newspapers were used to build the standard backyard light the fuse and run firework.

Built a little flag pole to fit in the bedside post holes. Stained it to match the bed. Made the truck a little more patriotic to cruise around in for the 4th :)

  19. Danny. They called for 30 percent of rain here then upped it to 70 percent. It just poured rain here all afternoon and last night. I got lucky and got just enough time to do some grilling for all our friends. Then we ate on the back screened in porch and had a good time. The suns out this morning but they are calling for more strong storms here today. I hope the weather was good for you all down there. Bruce.
