i also had a new (used) header panel for the car with an inner structure so i spliced and diced it on to the car then chopped my w/s frame, and took some 35-36 w/s hinges and modified them to fit the 32 (its easy and cheaper then real 32's) header then fit my windshield frame im hapy with the way it turned out! hera a pic of that.

1 question. with the cleco(sp) fasteners, are you over lapping the patch panels instead of but welding them?

tommy, im just using them to fit all the patch panels, when i go to weld them in ill use my cutoff wheel and cut next to the patches and butt weld them correctly, i figured some one might mention something about that!

That's what I figured. I can see how they would be big help. I've never invested in a set.

there a story behind those clecos though.......

When my dad was in Vietnam he was an airplane mechanic on a carrier ship, when his term was over he was offered to take home any tool in the toolbox that he wanted, so he chose that cleco set! so they been in around for a while, i stole them last week from him! like half the other tools in my garage!!!!!

I 'think' truck vents and '32 pass are the same vent.

Looks to me like it's a tad farther forward than a stock 32..could be the pic though.

    It all looks good man..
I need one of those cowl vents for my 32 5 window too..

    Rat....

when i got the car the top of the cowl was cut out so i went to the french lake and snatched up the last cowl vent there out of a 33 pu and used the whole top to patch mine, so the opening is a little further forward!

clecos are used alot in airplane skinnig, you can drill a hole in the sheet metal and use them basicaly as removable rivit. or hold panels in plce while you fit them.
