Buddy of mine told me about it. Website says this weekend. That's why I asked Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Here's the web site , www.backtothe50sweekend.com . Went there a few years ago had a good time , really nice place but I don't think they have a swap meet.
"Back to the 50's" is a three day car show put on by the Minnesota Street Rod Association, and just celebrated it's 50th anniversary. Roughly 12,000 cars at the MN state fairgrounds, with auction, swap meet, etc. "Back to the 50's Weekend" is not connected with this event, and it seems like either the promoters didn't research their name, or they were trying to confuse people.
It's not worth the effort. Hardly any traditional cars. Mostly newer Corvettes, Muscle Cars, newer Camaros, etc. It started out decades ago and was excellent. Lots of rods and customs. But lets face it. We are a dying (literally) breed. There is more interest in muscle cars and newer Corvettes than in rods and customs. There is no swap meet. It usually attracts maybe 150 - 200 cars.
Not a bad show, but not worth the drive even for me. The coupe can scare the crap out of the muscle car guys here at home.
