.. For many moons I've been putin this together for my Deuce Coupe with a Full Race Flathead , motivation always was to have all old issue SW mech center pivot Gauges. The (not shown) 2 mech Temp Gauges (one for each Head) will be in a separate under dash Pod.

  10. While scoping out the chrome dash panels, pedals, ash tray and glove box switchboard, I noticed the gauge that isn't there.

I wanted something functional but different in my early '50s built Model A. The cluster is from a '66 Mustang GT. The bezel was cut out and machined by Ken Smith at HRW and was no small task, as no two gauges are the same space from the next. I had it nickel plated for effect. The gator material is from the original upholstery in Nick Smith's Henry J gasser. I doubt that I'll see this combination again.... Model A Stick.jpg

  28. Just a suggestion...Might want to see how it looks "upside down"...the flow may fit better. ;)

  29. Aftermarket gauges aren't getting a lot of love in this thread.......
Anyway, I have an AD 1950 Chevy truck and because of the existing holes, shape, and contour of the dash, new gauges are the simplest answer. I bought a "vintage" looking set to replace the street rod style that was put in by the PO. These that I put in are by Classic Instruments.
I have my eye on a tach that's a close match that may or may not be added into a sweet column or dashtop pod that I have stashed away.
