I bought this matched set grill guard and rear bumper pull down, but I don't know what they belong to. They measure 15 inches tall and 4 11/16 inches wide. I think 1940 Dodge, but I'm not sure. I was going to take the mechanism out of the pull down to make something else with it but decided not to. These are too nice to butcher. 20170510_085632.jpg 20170510_085701.jpg

I had thought so too, but the '37 Buick bumpers don't have a center bolt hole. I have only been able to find one picture of a 1940 Dodge coupe with one mounted on the front bumper. 29612352410_afa9bc856f_b.jpg

Wow! I think you are correct! Thank you! I had been googling to find anything like them, but hadn't thought of a '38 Olds!

Defiantly 38 the 37 was the same but wider across the bumper attaching section, and looks like a center front and center rear fold down. Not the easiest Ones to find and in good original shape it looks like. I’ve been looking for this same set for a bit now as Dad and I have 3 pretty much original 38 Buick Specials. You wouldn’t be interested in selling them would you? View attachment 3582895

Mr. raylloyd got it right when he suggested that these are 1938 Oldsmobile. I googled that year Oldsmobile and ther were several pictures of cars with the grill guard, but none with the folding trunk guard. Thank you and everyone else that responded.
