Hope you took lots of pictures of the header fitting. It really looks good for just being roughed in (ya right) and I suspect it will be copied in the future. It's been a LONG time since anything new or exciting has been done with this year body (no, rat rods don't count) and it looks like a new trend may have been started.

Oh come on...........for the love of god you can't bring that to Roundup! Cause I really don't want to have to carry a spare pair of shorts to change into after I see it in person.

I love the idea of spreading the cowl to meet the frame. I think that will throw some people off. But it looks killer as always.

I was wondering the same thing myself. Black? The car is worthy of the black fer sure. Same color as the mill? Any clear picture in your head on that?

I do have to say damn!

That thing is turning out kool!

When you stretch the cowl are you going to remove the filler cap? In some of you sketches you had it still but in the last ink one you posted it was gone.

Are you going to stretch it by adding to the center? You could really mess with people heads and put a 32 style cowl vent on it LOL.

And for what it is worth I would think in the long run you would be better off with a fake top insert over trying to do a real one...but then again what do I know.

YOU are building one of the trickest cars ever dude...I ain't gonna question anything you do on it...you have taste!:D

Hudson Kid...I wish I knew how to quit you...

    :D

I'm going to paint the car the shiniest, glossiest black I can after I do the bodywork. It's going to stay in bare metal for a little while though.

Probably going with a white (maybe white pearl?) roll and pleat interior also.

Thanks for all the kind words guys!

Sorry Harrison...I missed your question somehow.

It's an old original Mor-drop axle that was under a Model A pickup built in the '50s. A lot of people claim that they have a Mor-drop axle but this one is the real deal.

I measured it next to a stock axle and I think this one was dropped about 2.25" over stock, which I think translates to about 3.5" dropped axle or somewhere thereabouts. Keep in mind that a " 4" dropped axle " is not a true 4" drop over stock.
