    (Possibly) a 1934 military issue Chevrolet "station wagon", the predecessor to the first Chevrolet Suburban.

    Found this from Wikipedia
    Prior to this first generation Suburban, Chevrolet offered a station wagon body, built on the 1/2 ton truck frame. This model was specifically built for National Guard units and Civilian Conservation Corps units. Much of the body was constructed from wood, and could seat up to eight occupants.

    My Dad, two of my uncles and an unidentified Ford Pick up, my best guess is this pic was taken on the way to Tule Lake, CF on goose hunting trip.
    My Dad rigged up a line from the Roadliner's water tank to spray on the Merc's radiator when the going got tough!

  7. The Manawatu Gorge road in the North Island of New Zealand has always been plagued by slips (landslides). Currently (June 2017) it is closed again after another one. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manawatu_Gorge The last pic is a recent view of the location of the third one.

  8. The service car was common sight in New Zealand in the year before and after WW2. Many were built on extended Cadillac car frames but these are on International trucks.     You think this video is bad? There used to be a monthly magazine called "California Highway Patrolman" which had a few photos in it of the worst wrecks in the state that month. Most were fatals and nothing was left to the imagination as far as dead bodies were concerned so the pics were obviously extremely graphic....
