'62 Woleseley Six, down by the Murray River. The owner runs a deuce, but had this baby out on a wild day, weatherwise. Woleseley started out making sheep shearing gear in Australia. This one is pretty standard & 90+ mint, and scrubbs up well in this painting, so I've been told. I've heard a hot one with duals and glasspacks- sounds good on the downhill straight outta town, 100 mph on a long wind..

Those side grille vents used to be a hot custom ticket down- under. But I'm diggin' that centre grille these days. The name badge in the grille lights up at night. Nice Farina tailights on these babes too.

    Hello,

When I was a little kid, I loved taking apart all kinds of boxes that my dad brought home. At first, it was just tear the things apart, but after numerous Xmas mornings seeing all of those cool boxes, I started to take them apart slowly.

One box that always came at that time was a tall Johnny Walker carton. It was only good as a re-purposed box for decorating and rolling up a custom T shirt, photo or drawing to put inside.

Over the years, I wanted to create my own versions of boxes from ones that I took apart. They were simple designs, but like peeling a boiled egg, as you split the seams, unfolded the sides, something popped up that looked different. A pattern.

That was 30 years ago. Today, there are so many ways to “unbox/unpeel” the different shaped boxes that arrive as gifts, that it is now becoming really fun. As far as art, once the pattern is drawn from the actual “unpeeled” box, then one can add whatever to the design.

Draw, paint, add photos, copy and paste onto your computer and now you have a pattern that lasts forever…until your computer crashes. transfer it to flash drive and take it over to your grand daughter's/son's house for hours of fun. We "tweeners" have to come up with many ideas to keep busy having fun, at both ends of the age spectrum.

Computers make it easier to color, cut and paste objects, and fine tune your line designs for the final printing and assembly. You can print this FLYING EYEBALL pattern out or change it any way you wish. Add in some of your own car photos or grandkids. Now, you have your own mini gift box.

I made several different blank versions and my grand daughter went to town adding in her own “things” in each of the spaces. Cut, paste, and glue at first, now, she can use the computer to do the same project. Happy Boxing Day!

(copy and print this box pattern, make your own design...)

    Hello,

I am sure everyone has eaten Chinese take-out food over the years. Once finished eating that great meal, wash out the odd shaped container and it becomes the easiest box to take apart and lay flat. Here is your latest cool box pattern for all sorts of fun.

At one time, it was harder, as one had to take apart the actual food container to get at the pattern. Now, online, there are patterns available for most containers in an easy to print pattern, but for creative as hot rodders are, go to town using your own art or photos.

One Xmas, we made a gift box for our granddaughter that had unicorns and fairies on the side panels. There were rainbows on each of the flaps and her photo on the inside floor. It was very colorful and one of a kind.

A fancy hot rod, parts, gift box, perhaps? Color, flames, scallops?

Get it? A take out delivery container with sedan delivery photos?
    Thanks, Lou

  15. Great stuff guys! I waited until this morning to do a sketch. There's not as much time as in the winter. Lol I would love to have a Chevy 2 drag car. I guess a sketch will have to do. Ron... 20170609_083436.jpg
